Congratulations - It's Time For Your First Lesson!

Starting piano lessons can be a bit intimidating, especially for a first-time student. That's why I wanted to take a moment to give you an idea of what your first lesson will look like when you take piano lessons with me.

First of all, I offer in-home piano lessons. This means that I will come to your house for the lesson, which can be very convenient, especially for busy families.

When I arrive, we will start with a quick assessment of your current piano skills. This will help me understand your strengths and weaknesses and tailor the lesson to your individual needs. I'll also listen to your interests, which is important to me so I can make the lessons interesting, engaging, and fun.

Once we've assessed your current level, we'll dive into the lesson. The first lesson will be an introduction to the basics of piano playing, including posture, finger placement, and basic music theory. We'll start with simple songs, and as you progress, we'll move on to more complex pieces.

Throughout the lesson, I'll be giving you pointers and feedback on your playing, helping you to improve your technique and musicianship. I'll also be answering any questions you have about the piano or the music you're playing.

Finally, at the end of the lesson, we'll set some goals for your next lesson, and I'll give you some practice materials to work on. That way, you can continue to improve your skills in between lessons.

In conclusion, your first piano lesson will be an assessment of your current piano skills, an introduction to the basics of piano playing, and an engaging and fun experience. I'll be happy to answer any questions you have and help you to set goals for your next lesson. I'm looking forward to working with you and helping you to achieve your piano goals.
